The course crosses hilly terrain after beginning at the top of the hill; a layout is available at the Longview Park Greenhouse or the Park Office.

Two picnic shelters—a small one and a large one—are available for picnics or parties. The City makes them available to rent after April 1 each year. Longview Park is also home to Whitewater Junction, a railroad-themed water park with water slides and water-spray features.
